On September 13, New Concept Mining (NCM), a division of Swedish company Epiroc, opened its Hydraulic Rock Drill (HRD) production facility in Aeroton, Johannesburg. NCM is a ground support solutions supplier based in South Africa.
[pdf] Fill the reservoir with air tool oil or 10W equivalent for 9 lb and 15 lb class. Use rock drill oil for the 38 lb and 60 lb class tools. Check all nuts and bolts to ensure they are tight on the tool. Make sure retainer locks into place. Replace retainer and springs if worn.
[pdf] A Pile Top RCD fitted with a 2-metre diameter drill bit is estimated to be capable of “mining” about 7 tonnes of Ore per hour. The Pile Top RCD is capable of drilling holes with inclinations from 90 o (vertical) to 72 o. The working deck has variable geometry to keep it level.
